Pfutsero to conduct mass social work on August 8
DIMAPUR — Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pfutsero, Mhalo Humtsoe, has informed that a mass social work will be conducted on August 8 starting from 7 am in view of the forthcoming 80th Independence Day celebration. According to a DIPR report, all members of the general public and heads of offices (HoOs) have been directed to supervise and extend cooperation towards the mass cleanliness drive for a clean Pfutsero town.
DC Tuensang declares 'No Parking Zone' on road stretch
DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, has declared the road stretch from the Delivery Courier Service to the Commandant (Village Guard) Office Junction in Tuensang town as a "No Parking Zone" with immediate effect. According to an order, the restriction will remain in place until further notice to ensure public safety and the smooth movement of traffic following road closures on NH-202 near the IOC. It informed that no vehicle is permitted to be parked or left unattended along the specified stretch at any time. The superintendent of police and all concerned authorities have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the order. Any person found violating the directive will be liable for action under the relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005, the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, and other applicable laws.
SIR awareness campaign conducted in Chiephobozou
DIMAPUR — An awareness campaign on the forthcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll for the 11 Northern-II Assembly Constituency was conducted at the Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner in Chiephobozou on Wednesday. According to a DIPR report, Extra Assistant Commissioner and AERO Chiephobozou Viketoulie Metha chaired the programme and briefed the house on the importance of the SIR and its related procedures. The awareness campaign was attended by ward councillors, village council chairmen under the Chiephobozou sub-division, civil society organisations, and other related functionaries.
Chozuba administration assigns works for I-Day
DIMAPUR — Work distribution for the 80th Independence Day celebration to be observed at Chozuba has been assigned to every department under the sub-division. According to a notification issued by ADC Chozuba Zapuno Khatso, all heads of offices have been directed to hoist the national flag at their respective offices at 6 am on August 15. Strict attendance for all government employees under the sub-division will be mandatorily maintained and submitted to the administration. All departments have also been directed to complete their respective assigned works by 4 pm on August 14. The parade rehearsal for the celebration is scheduled to take place from August 11 to 13 at the local ground from 2:30 pm to 4 pm.
