ANGPTA defers July 10 programme
DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers' Association (ANGPTA) has informed that the proposed felicitation programme scheduled for July 10 to honour successful primary teachers who qualified in the recent Limited Departmental Examination (LDE) has been postponed. According to the association, the programme has been postponed as the departmental process for the appointment of the newly successful teachers has not yet been completed. The revised date, time and venue of the felicitation programme will be notified in due course. However, the collection of details of the successful primary teachers will continue as planned. The association requested all concerned to extend their cooperation.
NECU advances vaccine training skills
DIMAPUR — The North East Christian University (NECU), Faculty of Nursing, Dimapur, hosted a two-day national online seminar on ‘Immunisation excellence’ from June 29 to the 30th, equipping 293 healthcare and nursing delegates with critical field skills. According to the university, the organising committee members were Dr. Athuo Saziini, Kapuw Kaini, Apao Hravine Neha and Yhunsinle Tep. The intensive virtual summit featured expert-led sessions on immunology basics, national and global immunisation schedules, cold chain management protocols, management of adverse events and patient hesitancy. Resource experts including Dr. Seyie Rutsa, Prof. Deena E, Prof. L Lidziisa Mao and Khangembam Subita Chanun guided participants through digital video modules on advanced injection techniques, evidence-based myth-busting and patient-centred communication to combat vaccine hesitancy. The programme utilised real-time interactive digital tools such as Kahoot! and concluded with participants clearing the final post-test evaluation and receiving professional e-certificates.
ENCSU formation meeting announced
DIMAPUR — A collective meeting of all Class-I contractors belonging to the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) has been convened on July 9 at 10.30 am at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, for the formation of the Eastern Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (ENCSU). According to a press release issued by the caretaker ENCSU, all concerned members have been requested to attend the meeting.
