DIMAPUR — The
Executive Officer of Pfutsero Town Council, Mhalo Humtsoe, informed that the
Pfutsero Town Council, in collaboration with the Eagle Crest Training Academy
and Consultancy, will organise an employment link career guidance programme in
the fields of aviation, hospitality, cruise lines, and overseas recruitment on
April 22 at Pfutsero Town Hall, starting from 12 noon. According to a DIPR
report, interested candidates have been requested to attend. The minimum
educational qualification is Class 10 (appeared) and above.
DIMAPUR — A
farewell programme was held in honour of outgoing ADC Aghunato, D Robin, on
April 17 at Dobashi Court, Aghunato. According to a DIPR report, the outgoing
ADC, in his valedictory speech, expressed gratitude to all the attendees for
their full support and cooperation during his brief posting in the
sub-division. He especially thanked the staff and dobashis for undertaking all
assigned duties with sincerity and professionalism. Further, he lauded the GB
union and councillors for extending all possible assistance to the Office of
the ADC Aghunato. Reiterating that Aghunato sub-division has much to offer in
terms of organic farming and tourism, he encouraged all stakeholders to
continue providing their cooperation to the new ADC as well.
Baby show organised
in Tseminyu under ICDS
DIMAPUR — A baby
show was organised at Tseminyu under the Integrated Child Development Services
(ICDS) project and was held at the Council Hall, T Zisunyu village, on Monday.
According to an update, the programme was held as part of Poshan Pakhwada 2025.
The keynote address was delivered by CDPO/DPO i/c Tseminyu, Menokhrielie, while
senior supervisor of the ICDS project Tseminyu, Obed Magh, emphasised the
importance of the baby show and asserted that the show was not a competition
but a celebration of life and an expression of our love and gratitude to God
for the new arrival of blessings. Magh said that a child’s brain develops
rapidly during the first few years of life, and therefore, the first 1,000 days
offer a critical window for intervention and support. The first two years are a
critical period for brain development, laying the foundation for the future
cognitive, emotional, and social abilities of the child.
East Dimapur Town
Council calls for mass social work
DIMAPUR — The
office of the East Dimapur Town Council has notified all the ward councillors,
colony GBs, colony chairmen, members, and the public under East Dimapur Town
Council that there will be a mass social work on April 26 from 6 am to 8 am.
According to an update, as the monsoon season approaches, the East Dimapur Town
Council urged the ward councillors, colony GBs, colony chairmen, and members to
take immediate action to ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of
drainage systems within their respective areas. Further, all commercial
establishments/units have been directed to participate in the social work and
general cleaning of the East Dimapur Town Council market area, including the
commercial stretch of NH-29, under East Dimapur Town Council. Business
establishments are requested to remain closed from 6 am to 8 am to facilitate
the social work.
Food safety training
organised in Jalukie town
DIMAPUR — The
Food Safety Administration, Dimapur Zone, organised a Food Safety Training and
Certification (FoSTaC) for food business operators at Herangki Conference Hall,
Jalukie Town, on Monday. According to Samlamgwamlie Michui, Food Safety
Officer, the training was conducted for food business operators running hotels,
restaurants, food stalls, canteens, etc. The training partner was M/s Aroma
Shiksha Evam Samithi, Korba, Chhattisgarh, and the Food Safety and Standards
Authority of India-empanelled trainer was Dr. Anup Kumar Tiwari from Kolkata.
Birth waiting home
launched at Peren District Hospital
DIMAPUR — District
Hospital, Peren, launched a birth waiting home (BWH) for pregnant women on the
hospital premises on Monday. According to an update, Dr. Niriethono Zetsuvi,
Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Peren, launched the BWH dedication
programme. Dr. Meningsiliu Rentta, Jr. Spl. (obstetrics and gynaecology),
highlighted the facilities and benefits of the Birth Waiting Home (BWH). Dr.
Avika P Jimo, Medical Officer (AYUSH), District Hospital, Peren, chaired the
programme and gave the keynote address. The programme was attended by the
members of the Zeliang Officers Association Nagaland, the student community,
the medical fraternity, and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs).
