DIMAPUR — The Aggrieved Landowners – NH-29 (Purana Bazaar to Chümoukedima) has convened a meeting on May 2 at 3 pm at Hotel Saramati conference hall, Dimapur. In an update, the Aggrieved Land Owners stated that the primary objective of the meeting is to come together to share and discuss the grievances of the affected landowners, deliberate on the discrepancies in land survey and compensation, and to arrive at a unified and constructive way forward. All members have been requested to participate in a positive spirit. Further, all aggrieved landowners are to bring two xerox copies of their land patta (whether cadastral or non-cadastral) for record and verification purposes.
National prayer service at Hebron
DIMAPUR — The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC), NSCN (IM) has issued a clarion call to all ‘NSCN leaders’ to attend a ‘National fasting and prayer service’ on May 3 at 8:00 am at CHQ Church, Hebron, themed ‘Come save Nagalim!.’ “Lay down pride. Lay down division. Come fast. Come pray. Come seek God’s face together,” the CNC appealed in a statement.
WRD directorate shifts to Meriema
DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Women Resource Development (WRD) has notified the directorate has officially relocated from its temporary location at Bayavu colony, Kohima, to the directorate office building at Meriema (Near Nagaland University), Kohima.
“All official correspondences, meeting and public dealings intended for the directorate shall henceforth be addressed to and carried out at the new location,” a DIPR report stated.
ICFAI students visit DIMUL, SASRD
DIMAPUR — The Department of Economics, ICFAI University Nagaland, in collaboration with its IQAC, organised an industrial visit to Dimapur District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Ltd. (DIMUL), Chümoukedima, on April 29. In an update, the university stated that students observed the production process and attended a presentation session by the CEO, followed by a fruitful Q&A session, gaining valuable practical insights.
SCTE hosts AI development programme
DIMAPUR — The IQAC, State College of Teacher Education (SCTE), Kohima, organised a one-day faculty development programme on artificial intelligence in teaching learning, research and ethic on Thursday. Resource persons for the sessions were A Morimenba Amer, Joint Director, NIELIT Kohima, and Chenlep Yakha Konyak, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, the SCTE stated in an update.
