Kohima DC mandates compulsory attendance at I-Day celebration
DIMAPUR — The Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima has directed all heads of offices under the Kohima district and gaon buras under Kohima Sadar (Urban and Rural) to compulsorily attend the Independence Day celebration on August 15 at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza in Kohima. According to a press release, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kohima B Henok Buchem has also informed all heads of departments (HoDs) to collect invitation cards and car passes for the Independence Day celebration from the Establishment Branch of the DC's office in Kohima. The invitation cards and car passes will be available for collection from August 13 during office hours.
Flood-hit road closed to heavy vehicles in Tuli
DIMAPUR — The Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tuli has banned the movement of all heavy vehicles along the Watiyongpang to Changtongya stretch with immediate effect and until further orders. According to a DIPR report, the decision follows severe road damage caused by recent flooding and landslides on July 19. The order was issued based on safety recommendations from the Public Works Department (National Highway 2) and the Public Works Department (Roads and Bridges), Tuli Division.
