DC Niuland issues illegal immigrant alert

 

DIMAPUR — In view of the ongoing eviction drive undertaken by the Government of Assam against illegal immigrants, Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, Sara S Jamir, directed has all villages in the district not to panic but remain vigilant and alert for influx of illegal immigrants in the district. “Any unusual movement and migration in respective jurisdiction/area are to be immediately report to the district administration,” the DC stated in an order.

Land width guidelines for Kuhuboto roads

 

DIMAPUR — The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Kuhuboto, Niuland district, has issued a notification regarding the mandatory land width for road development in Kuhuboto town. According to the notification, the land width of Kuhuboto town roads should be 24 feet and 40 feet for inter-village roads. The measure has been necessitated to regulate and prevent encroachment upon public utilities such as roads, footpaths and drainage system. “All concerned undertaking development work along the side of road should obtain a joint permit from Kuhuboto Urban Station Committee and concerned sector goanbura prior to commencement of development works,” the notification added.


DC Peren reminds on mass social work

 

DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Hiazu Meru, has reminded all the district officers that as per the decision taken at the DPDB meeting, a mass social work will be conducted in the district on the fourth Friday of every month. In a notification, the DC notified all sub-division administrative officers to fix an appropriate date for the mass social work in their respective sub- divisions. The DC further instructed the EAC, Sadar Peren, and head DB to supervise the monthly mass social work and to submit report.
