Landowners asked to submit pending NAKSHA documents
DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, has informed that the Department of Land Records and Survey, Dimapur, has completed the survey and ground truthing exercise in Dimapur urban areas covering Wards 1 to 23 under the NAKSHA Pilot Programme. In a circular, the DC referred to the Government of Nagaland, Land Revenue Department letter dated November 11, 2025, and stated that some landowners/pattadars are yet to submit the required documents to the NAKSHA Cell. Therefore, all concerned landowners/pattadars have been requested to submit their documents by May 30, 2026, at the NAKSHA Cell located at the Directorate of Land Records Office, Dimapur, without fail.
Pungro SDPDB meeting held
DIMAPUR — The monthly Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) meeting for Pungro was conducted at the conference hall of the Additional Deputy Commissioner office, Pungro, on May 26. The meeting was chaired by Advisor of Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards &Civil Defence and Relief & Rehabilitation and chairman SDPDB, S Kiusumew Yimchunger, who also proposed ther welcome address and exhorted the members. ADC Pungro Hotolu Sema highlighted on the development projects to be taken up under Pungro sub-division.
Unidentified body recovered
DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police recovered one unidentified male body, aged around 50 years, from a footpath outside Bajrang Motors Parts shop at Hotel Sente building, near Tragopan Junction, on May 27. A police report stated that an inquest was conducted over the dead body and was taken to District Hospital, Dimapur, morgue for postmortem examination after completion of all legal formalities.
