DoSE informs in-service teachers
Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has informed all in-service teachers of both govt. and private teaching under classes (I-VIII) that as per Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literarcy letter, the registration for D.El.Ed course will be re-opened from Nov. 1 to 7 to give a chance for those in-service teachers who have missed in applying for the course earlier. All concerned teachers have been asked to avail the opportunity and register.
DHS Kohima notifies public
The District Health Society, Kohima has informed general public residing under Kohima Municipal jurisdiction (19 wards) that the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), under the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare is undertaking first of its kind community based activity on ‘Vulnerability Mapping and Assessment/Disease Profiling for Urban Health’. During the exercise, Urban ASHAs, ANMs and Anganwadi Workers will conduct household survey and interview head of the household to record data in a prepared survey format. In this regard, the general public are requested to cooperation during the activity from Nov. 1 to 7.
NEEPC to organise painting competition
The Northeastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPC) Limited, under the aegis of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and BEE, will organise a state level painting competition on ‘Energy conservation-2017’ for Nagaland on Nov. 4, 2 p.m. at Eastgate Hotel, Below War cemetery, Kohima.
VGOK to hold general session
Viswema Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (VGOK) will be holding a general session on Nov. 4 at Viswema Panchayat Hall, with Kroshu Rhetso Chief Engineer NPWD (R&B) and Those Kraho (Rtd.) ADC (Planning) and advisor VGOK as resource persons. All the members and well wishers are requested to attend the programme positively.
Mass social work in Zbt. town
In view of the forthcoming platinum jubilee celebrations of the establishment of Zunheboto town, the Organizing Committee of Platinum Jubilee will organise a mass social work on Nov. 4. All sector GBs has been asked to supervise the cleanliness drive in their respective colonies. The EE, Road & Bridges, Zunheboto Town Council and departments have been requested to provide JCB, Dumper and other necessary assistant during the drive.
DC Zunheboto directs HoDs
The Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, T Roy has directed all heads of offices (HoDs) under Zunheboto district to be in the station from Nov. 6 onwards in view of the forthcoming platinum jubilee celebrations of the town. The DC has warned that action will be initiated against any HoDs if officers fail to be in the station.
NSSWB to organize fellowship cum pre-Christmas
The Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) will be organising a centralize friendship fellowship cum pre-Christmas for the Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club on the Nov. 3, 12:30 p.m. at Thinuovicha Memorial Higher Secondary School, Kohima.

All India Government Drivers’ Federation (AIGDF) central committee has convened a meeting on Nov. 5 at Conference Hall, 1st Floor, K-Block, Vikas Bhawan, New Delhi. All elected/nominated committee members and state president/secretaries of all affiliated associations are requested to attend the meeting positively. Federation also asked the state association to submit their grievances through their respective zone unit of the federation. The meeting has been called to regarding the issue of construction of Driver’s Bhawan at New Delhi on parity of pay band on the principle of “Equal pay for equal work” and other grievances of the government drivers. If the demands are not fulfilled by the Central Government of India, the federation has decided to go for a procession country wide starting from New Delhi.
The Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Service Association (NDMSA) has called an emergency meeting from directorate offices on Nov. 2, 4:30 p.m. at the conference hall of CANSSEA, Kohima, for the forthcoming association’s 1st biennial conference to be held on Nov.22 at Kohima. All registrars/superintendents of directorates are requested to send two representatives each to attend the meeting. it the association also informed that no separate circular will be issued and this notification may be treated as official.
The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) administrator Moa Sangtam has informed all the residents under Dimapur Municipality that starting from Nov. 1 Residential Sanitary Tax (RST) payment receipt will be mandatory for issuance of any permit, license, certificate etc. from the office of the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC).
Along with the rest of the country, Longleng observed Vigilance Week on Oct. 31 at DC’s conference hall. ADC Longleng, Temsuwati administered the oath to government officers and staff of the district.
