KMC directs shopkeepers
The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator, Kethosituo in a notification, stated that despite several notifications issued, some shopkeepers are still stocking their products/goods on the footpath which has been causing undue inconveniences to the pedestrians. In this regard, the administrator has directed all shopkeepers to stop such practice immediately. He further notified that if any shopkeeper is found violating the notice during inspection, their goods shall be seized without any further notice and penalized as per the provision of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001.
CCEM, Chakhesang legislators joint meet

ANHTU Wokha office bearers election

Disaster risk-reduction programme at Pfütsero
Phek District Farmers’ Union (PDFU) President, Khazi Lea has informed all the concerned that there shall be a seminar on “Disaster risk reduction” on Sep. 27 and 28th at the Touridst Complex, Pfütsero town. The programme is being sponsored and organised by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Home Department in Collaboration with the PDFU. All VCCs, chairman of VFU, Town Municipal Council and Town Adhoc Committee under Phek district have been requested to send two progressive farmers from respective village/town for the seminar. ANHTU to observe Hindi Diwas
The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union will be observing the 24th State Level Hindi Diwas, organized by ANHTU Longleng unit on Sep. 21, 9:30 a.m. at Bautung Govt. Higher Secondary School Longleng. Parliamentary Secretary of Land Resources Development and Excise Chairman DPDB Longleng, B.S. Nganlang Phom will be gracing the event as chief guest.
