KMC directs pigsty, poultry owners to maintain cleanliness
The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) in a notice stated that unhygienic rearing and maintenance of pigsty and back yard poultry farms are creating nuisance/menace to the nearby localities in most of the wards/colonies under the jurisdiction of KMC. Therefore, KMC has directed all concern to maintain cleanliness in an around their pigsty and poultry sheds with immediate effect. The panchayats have also been requested to inspect, streamline and report to the Administrator of KMC for necessary action to be taken against the defaulters as per the law.
Orientation prog for TOTs (EBRC)
Principal Director, A Saran GI has notified to all concerned DEO/DDEO/SDEO to inform all TOTs (EBRC) of 11 districts to attend the orientation programme on ‘learning outcomes’ which is being organized by SCERT from September 6-8 for Dimapur, Kiphire, Kohima, Peren, Phek, and Wokha and from September 12-14 for Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang and Zunheboto. The programme will be held in the Conference Hall, SCERT, Kohima at 9:30 a.m.
Dimapur common Teachers’ Day celebration
District Education Officer (DEO), Dimapur has informed both the government and private schools under Dimapur district that there will be a common Teachers Day celebration on September 5, 2 p.m. at Covenant Hall of Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur. Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome will grace the programme as chief guest. All the schools have been asked to participate with at least 10 students each.
Free eye screening camp
Lions Club of Dimapur in association with Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital will be organising a free eye screening camp, IOL Surgery (Cataract) on September 16 and 17 from 8 a.m. onwards at Lions Health Centre, Midland, PWD Road, Dimapur. The medical team will be coming from Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital. Patients will be provided with free medicines and advices. The surgery will be conducted at Jorhat Lions Eye Hospital and will be sponsored by Lions Club of Dimapur. Patients are requested to register themselves. KDVA to observe foundation day
The 12th Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) will be observing its foundation day on Septemeber 3, 1 p.m. at Kisama. All the members have been requested to attend the programme.
