Directives for Tsg night buses and sumos
The head GB of GB Customary Court District Hq, Tuensang Town, Khoney Chang, in a notification, directed all night buses and sumos plying from Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung to Tuensang to abstain from carrying heavy luggage materials and commodities, for the safety of the passengers in lieu of the pathetic road condition. He also informed that the order will remain enforced till the repair and renovation of roads. Further, he also cautioned that stringent action will be initiated against violators.
Tseminyu Union dissolved
President TSVYO/ TOTYO, Tsemi Ami Khing and TVYO general secretary, Asinlo Kent, in a press release informed general public that the office of the Tseminyu Union has been dissolved during the meeting held on August 31. The release also informed that henceforth, no individual or group shall be allowed to use the name of the Tseminyu Union. Any individual or group using the name of Tserninyu Union shall be at his or her own risk, the release added.
KMC notifies on pet management
The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator, Kethosituo Sekhose, has notified that as envisaged under Sec 58(j) of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001 shall be starting a pet shed cum dog pound in the interest of public service w.e.f. September 11. In this regard, the administrator informed that the KMC along with the Angami Students’ Union (ASU) shall be conducting a sensitization programme for wards under KMC on September 6, at KMC office. The ASU has come forward to carry out the sensitization programme on pet management through its seminars and workshops. Therefore, all wards chairmen and secretaries have been requested to attend the programme.
KSUK freshers’ meet-cum-cultural day
The Konyak Students’ Union Kohima (KSUK) will be holding its 34th Fresher’s Meet cum Cultural Day, on September 2, 10:30 a.m. at Ura Academy Hall, Kohima. The union has requested all the Konyak students to attend the programme.
Idd namaj in Dimapur
The Idd-ul Azha 2017 namaj shall be held at Dimapur lddgah prayer ground, Golaghat Road on September 2 at 7:45 a.m. The Idul Azha prayer shall be led by Moulana Fuzail Ahmed Sb, Madrassa E Darul Uloom, Dimapur. Idgah Committee wished all a happy Idd. It also requested all to co-operate with the committee during the namaj programme.
ZSU consultative meeting
The Zhavame Students’ Union (ZSU) has convened a consultative meeting with various organisation leaders within the Village, town units from Kohima, Dimapur, Phek, Pfutsero, Razeba, senior leaders and intellectuals on September 2 from 10 a.m. at VDB Hall, Zhavame village. All the concerned members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
ANGPTA Zbt emergency meeting
The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers’ Association (ANGPTA) Zunheboto unit has convened an emergency general meeting on September 2, 10 a.m. at VDB Hall, Old Town, Zunheboto. All primary teachers under SDEO Aghunato, SDEO Pughoboto, DEO and SDEO Zunheboto have been requested to attend the meeting. Untrained primary teachers are also informed to bring xerox copy of appointment order, regularization order and educational documents from HSLC onwards. The Kohima Masjid Committee (KMC) has extended heartiest greetings to the citizensof Nagaland. “The festival of Eid ul Adha is celebrated joyously on the 10th of the 12th month of Dhullhajjah as per the holy Islamic calendar. It is the celebration of love, compassion, forgiveness and brotherhood, stated the KMC. Meanwhile, the committee also informed that the Eid ul Adha Namaz will be held on September 2, 8 a.m. at Local Ground, Kohima.
