Mass social work in Pfutsero on Nov. 29
DIMAPUR — The Additional Deputy Commissioner and Executive Officer of Pfutsero Town Council, Mhalo Humtsoe, has issued a notice informing the public and heads of offices that a mass social work will be held on November 29 from 7 am, in view of the CBCC's 75th anniversary. According to a DIPR report, all concerned have been directed to clear construction materials, household items, and personal belongings from roadside areas by November 29. Additionally, institutions (both government and private) and business establishments have been encouraged to decorate with stars and Christmas decorations for the festive season. There will be an inter-ward Christmas decoration competition. Prizes will be awarded on December 6, with the winner receiving INR 10,000 and a certificate.
TUL adopts constitution
DIMAPUR — The Tenyimi Union, Longleng (TUL) held its general body meeting-cum-picnic on November 22. According to an update, the union marked a significant milestone in its organisational journey as the members unanimously adopted the union’s constitution during the meeting. The constitution outlines the union’s objectives, organisational structure, membership criteria, and operational guidelines for ease of cooperation and collaboration. Guided by the motto of ‘kinship and unity’, the union aims to foster a sense of kinship, unity, and co-operation amongst the Tenyimi community in Longleng, it stated.

Dimapur Police notifies on unclaimed body
DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police have informed that a 60-year-old man, identified as Atul Mech, son of late Oren Mech, passed away at the District Hospital Dimapur on November 5. The police received information about the death on November 20 and conducted an inquest in the presence of witnesses, ruling out foul play. The deceased's address was recorded as Railway Colony, Dimapur. Despite efforts, family members and relatives have not been traced. Relatives, friends, or acquaintances of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge of East Police Station, Dimapur, on mobile number 7085055020. The body is currently kept at the District Hospital morgue awaiting identification and claim.
