Wokha Town Council informs
As per government order vide No. UT/T-493/CC/MISC/215, dated 21/06/2017 regarding the use of sketches, photos, pictures or logo’s of Mahamat Gandhi and his belonging etc. the Wokha Town Council Administrator has informed that displaying the above pictures on the wall of public toilet, garbage bins and in filly places is illegal and is prohibited as per the above government order. Therefore, all colony chairmen of Wokha town have been informed to educate the public and sanitation workers in their respective colonies to adhere the government order to avoid any problem in future. It also cautioned that anybody doing so shall be on their own risk.
DMC convenes meeting with telecommunication companies
Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has convened a meeting with all the telecommunication tower companies on July 31, 12 noon at DMC office chamber, to discuss the matter related to payment of OMC fees against installation of towers within OMC jurisdiction. All the concerned have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
T. Akam Kuki issues corrigendum
T. Akum Kuki father of T. Jacob, who was apprehended by 32 Assam Rifles on July 18 with arms and ammunition, has clarified that his son was a resident of Kikhrüzha colony, Chumukedima, Dimapur and not of Virazouma village, Dimapur. T. Akum apologised to Virazouma Village council and general public for tarnishing the image of the village by his son.
