Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer of Kohima, Rajesh Soundanrarajan, IAS, has informed general public that Arup Kumar Saha has been appointed as the general observer for the by-election to the 10th Northern Angami- I AC. If anyone desires to meet him, he will be available in the office of the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer, Kohima on all working days from between 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
ADC Tuli notifies on passage in Milak Bridge
ADC, Tuli has informed all concerned that the Milak Bridge on NH-2 (225 km) Tuli-Molungyinsen road has deteriorated and found to be unsafe for the passage of heavy loaded vehicle. Therefore in the interest of public safety, and the safety of the bridge, the following advisory has been issued for compliance by all concerned.
The maximum load has been restricted to 5 MT/Vehicle and movement of only one vehicle at a time. The advisory should be strictly complied by all concerned till the restoration work which has already been initiated by the concerned department is restored.
DC Dimapur directs BLOs
In view of the ongoing revision of electoral-roll in the district, DC Dumapur has once again directed all BLOs to carry out the revision exercise diligently as per the prescribed guidelines and direction issued by the Election Commissioner of India and DC office. The Village Council chairmen, GBs in rural areas and the Ward authority/GBs in urban areas have been directed to extend all possible help to BLOs in revision exercise dutifully.
DIPR to organise public address system trg
Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) will be organizing two-day training on public address system for technical personnel on July 19 and 20 at DIPR Conference Hall, Kohima. Joint director of IPR, Er Tokishe Sema and deputy director of IPR, Er Kevizayieno will speak on the topics-basics of connection of PA system and basics of batteries and cabling respectively on the first day of the training. Technical Supervisor of IPR, Thungjanbemo will give the practical training for the technical staff on the second day of the training.
KMC administrator notifies
Kohimam Municipal Council administrator has notified that it has come to the notice that some individuals/party are running daily/weekly bazaar within Kohima Municipal jurisdiction without obtaining prior permission from the office. Therefore, all individual/party involved in such practice have been directed to obtain the permit from KMC office on or before July 21. It also informed that failure which defaulters will be penalized without further notice.
STKK prayer fellowship-cum-meeting
The Suruhuto Tokukujo Kuqhakulu Kohima (STKK) will be holding prayer fellowship-cum- executive meeting on July 22 at 4 p.m. at its president Hokito Jakhalu’s residence. All concerned office bearers, executive members and advisors of STKK have been requested to attend the meeting positively.

The 28th Triennial Session of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) general meeting has been scheduled on July 21 at the Conference Hall, CANSSEA office, at 11 a.m. The meeting will review resolution, discussion on agendas and amendment of CANSSEA Constitution and search/nominating committee report of new CANSSEA office bearers for 2017-2020. CANSSEA has informed that at least two office bearers from each association affiliated to CANSSEA and district CANSSEA office bearers to attend the session positively.
