NSUA notifies students seeking admission in Allahabad
The Naga Student Union Allahabad (NSUA) has notified that it will be assisting Naga students and parents during the counseling and admission period in SHUATS (Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences) which will begin from July 4 onwards, and also for students seeking admission in and around Allahabad. NNP+ to observe International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
The Network of Naga People living with HIV and AIDS (NNP+) will be organising the 34th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial on May 21 at 5 p.m. in the Auditorium of Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHKA) under the theme “Ending AIDS together”. Dr. Thorhusie Katiri, Medical Superintendent of NHAK will grace the occasion as the special speaker.
PIO, APIO for DC office Dimapur elected
In modification to the Office of Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur notification of Even No RTI-7/GOVT/NOTF/2015-D/934-36/ Dated Dimapur the May 4 and in pursuance of the Section No 5 (l) of the RTI Act 2005, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kesonyu Yhome has informed that Sara S. Jamir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dimapur has been designated as PIO and Kemchiyile, Extra Assistant Commissioner as APIO in the Office of the DC Dimapur with immediate effect.
Lerie colony to conduct mass social work
Lerie colony will be conducting a mass social work on May 20 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Social work will be carried out between National Highway, Lerie Panchayat gate and heliport in the colony. Secretary for Lerie Panchayat, Shikhato Sumi has informed that no vehicle would be allowed to ply during the social working hours except for emergency cases, school going vehicles and buses. The panchayat also cautioned that failure to comply, will invite penalty.
Treasury office informs pensioners
Senior Treasury Officer Kohima (South) Laochuba Pongerner has informed all pensioners both life and family drawing pension from Senior Treasury Office Kohima (South) that the physical verification will be held from June 1 to 30 during office hours. All pensioners have been asked to appear for physical verification along with PPO book, renewed I/card and bank account passbook. It also informed that payment will be stopped incase of failure.
NSBB to observe International Biological Diversity Day
Nagaland State Biodiversity Board (NSBB) will be observing the International Day for Biological Diversity under the theme “Biodiversity and sustainable tourism” on May 22 at Capital Convention Centre opposite Nagaland Civil Secretariat building from 10 a.m. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & Head of Forest Force, I. Panger Jamir, IFS will grace the occasion as special guest. The programme includes prize distribution, recitation by winner of the essay competition and special number by Vineyard School.
