DIMAPUR — The Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) convened its first union assembly for the tenure 2025–2027 at Hotel de Oriental Grand, Kohima, on Wednesday. According to a press release, a total of 20 affiliated units participated in the programme. It was mentioned that throughout the assembly, members deliberated on a wide range of matters pertaining to the academic and other matters concerning the welfare of the student community.
Ayush health camp to be held in Noklak
DIMAPUR — The Integrated AYUSH Hospital, Noklak, has informed that the Ayushman Arogya Shivar (AAS) AYUSH Health camp will be organised at Nokyan village, Noklak, on November 28 from 7 am to 11 am. A DIPR update informed that the following persons have been detailed for duty: Dr. Meyachungla Jamir, medical officer; Dr. Amongba Lima, medical officer; Dr. Wothungo C Kikon, medical officer; Laam, Thai staff nurse; Ngupfe, pojar, staff nurse; Swuduvelu Theyo, registration clerk; Medolenuo Soukhrie, yoga instructor; Aketo Y Swu, dispenser; Mongtsoa, lab technician; and Puchong, ward boy.

Skill development training to be held in Noklak
DIMAPUR — The district administration of Noklak has informed that AISECT Ltd. will organise free training under the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) at Punyaongan Sector Council Hall, Noklak town, from November 26 to December 20. According to a DIPR report, the training will cover trades including masonry and tiling, and plumbing and electricals. All village council chairmen under Noklak district have been requested to inform and mobilise interested candidates for the training programme. Hornbill Artists’ Corner at WWII Museum
DIMAPUR — The Department of Art and Culture will set up the annual Hornbill Artists’ Corner Art Gallery at the WWII Museum premises, Kisama, as part of the Hornbill Festival 2025 celebrations. According to a DIPR report, the Artists’ Corner is conceptualised to capitalise on the festival, where visual artworks are displayed in an exhibition-cum-art fair. It added that space can be availed for any visual art programme on site. Interested local artists are requested to submit or send two works only at the Directorate of Art and Culture along with a tag/label and brief bio-data by November 28, or at the Artists’ Corner at Kisama by December 1.
Workshop on Vibrant Village Programme held in Kohima
DIMAPUR — A day-long workshop-cum-training programme on the Vibrant Village Programme (VVPII) was held at the Directorate of Underdeveloped Areas (DUDA), Kohima, on November 25. According to a DIPR report, the workshop was attended by officials from the department and line departments, deputy commissioners of the five border districts, Assam Rifles, and a master trainer from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The workshop was moderated by Asangla Imti, secretary of DUDA, while short presentations were made by the nodal officer of VVPII and the deputy commissioners from the five border districts.
Passes for Statehood Day to be issued from Nov. 27
DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has informed all heads of departments (HoDs) to collect the invitation card and car pass for the 63rd Statehood Day celebration from the Establishment Branch, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, with effect from November 27. Further, all district HoDs have been informed to compulsorily attend the celebration. In a separate circular, the deputy commissioner has convened a coordination meeting regarding the mass social work to be conducted on November 28 from 6 am onwards. The meeting with social work team leaders will be held on November 27 at 3 pm in the DC conference hall. All team leaders assigned for the mass social work or their representatives have been requested to attend the meeting.
Ngada-cum-Mini Hornbill at Tseminyu
DIMAPUR — The Ngada-cum-Mini Hornbill Festival 2025 is set to be held from November 27 to the 28th at Tseminyu. According to an update, Ngada, the premier festival of the Rengma community, will be organised by Rengma Hoho in collaboration with the Tourism Department. This year’s celebration will begin with the Ngada Thanksgiving Service on November 27. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister CL John will attend the celebration on November 28 as the special guest. MLA Jwenga Seb will be the host.
