Home commissioner informs on car pass
State home commissioner, Ramakrishnan, has informed all officials entitled for Nagaland civil secretariat entry car pass that the format for new car pass would be issued from June 15 till 30 from the home department SAB (A). In a circular, the commissioner informed that new car pass should be collected from July 2 during office hour from home department SAB (A). The commissioner further informed that the old car pass would cease to be functional or rendered invalid after July 15. All concerned officials are requested to take note of the same.
DFO Kohima informs schools
The divisional forest officer (DFO), Kohima, Rongsenlemla Imchen has informed all the schools in-charge or teacher in-charge of the eco clubs under Kohima district to collect the NGC seed money for the year 2018 from June 21 to 30 from the DFO office. For schools in Tseminyu and Chiephobozou ranges, the seed money should be collected from the respective range offices. It also informed that report of the previous year activities along with photographs should be submitted to the office. Teacher in-charge are asked to bring the official seal before claiming the seed money.
FGN convenes meeting
Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has convened a joint meeting of the Naga National Council (NNC) and the FGN on June 25 at 10 am at the Transit Peace Camp in Kohima. All the central authorities, regional authorities and high ranking Naga army officers of the original NNC and FGN are requested to attend the meeting. A press release from the FGN informed on Wednesday.
KCSU to hold seminar
Keeping in mind the rapid growth rate of unemployment, Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) has announced to organise seminar on ‘Skill development’ on June 23 at CBCK conference hall, Kitsubusou, at 10 am. The union general secretary, Viewolo Koza, has requested all the subordinate units under KCSU to attend the seminar positively.
LPU holds alumni meet in Nagaland
Lovely Professional University, Punjab, has organised its first alumni meet in Nagaland. The meet in Dimapur was held on June 17 at Breeze Restaurant and in Kohima on June 18 at Hotel Cimorb. About 60 members of the alumni attended the programmes. The members have discussed on how to progress the alumni union in Nagaland. The event was initiated by Nikhil Sharma and Pele George Chakre, both assistant professors at Lovely Professional University.
ZSUN to honour achievers
Zeme Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) has announced to organise a felicitation programme for Zeme students, who have successfully cleared the HSLC, HSSLC and the undergraduate final semester examinations. The programme will be held on July 10 at the women conference hall in Jalukie town. The union has informed all the unit presidents and secretaries to collect the names of the successful candidates along with the photocopy of marksheets and submit to its office on or before July 8. It further asked students who have successfully cleared the examinations conducted by different boards and universities to attend the programme along with their parents.
