NLA complex declared restricted area
State government has declared the Nagaland Legislative Assembly complex as high security zone or restricted area. This was stated in a press release issued by NLA commissioner and secretary, N Benjamin Newmai. The secretary also informed that NLA has demarcated the entire area inside the main gate as entry restricted which prohibits picnicking, gathering, loitering and littering with immediate effect. The NLA has sought cooperation from all.
Kayakalp award ceremony
The award ceremony of Kayakalp ‘a clean hospital initiative’ would be held on June 20 at the directorate of health and family welfare’s conference hall in Kohima at 11 am. A DIPR report stated that state minister of health and family welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, would present the award.
AEO Mokokchung informs
Assistant election officer, Mokokchung, has informed all the government officials in Mokokchung district that payment of training and reserve allowances in connection with the recently concluded state assembly election would be disbursed with effect from June 27 in the election office during office hours. All polling personnel are requested to produce their appointment order or identity card or authorisation letter during payment. It further informed that those polling personnel, who were exempted from election duty, were entitled for training allowance.
Dimapur pensioners convene meeting
Dimapur unit of the Nagaland Pensioners Association (NPA) has convened a meeting on June 20 at the residence its president at 10 am. All the executive members of are requested to attend the meeting without.
NSF convenes consultative meeting
Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has convened a consultative meeting with all the former officials on June 20 at 1 pm in its office conference hall in Kohima. The federation has requested all senior members to attend the meeting. A press release from the federation informed on Monday.
School of Nursing to hold convocation
Principal of the School of Nursing, Dimapur, has informed that the second graduation day cum late Ketsovole Kire’s 16th award ceremony programme would be held on June 21 at 12 noon in its the chapel hall. The state minister of health and family welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, would be the chief guest of the day.
Kohima’s Tangkhul union mourns
Tangkhul community in Kohima town has mourned the demise of Kevimedo Rutsa on June 15 in Kohima. In a condolence message, the union has described Rutsa as not only their mentor and guardian but a generous and loving person. It added that the ‘fatherly love’ of Rutsa would be remembered by young and old of the community. The union has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and pray that the God would grant them solace and strength to bear with the loss.
