SUD and ZCD defer public rally
Sangtam Union Dimapur (SUD) and Zeme Council Dimapur (ZCD), in an emergency meeting held on June 13 with regard to the triple murder case, have resolved to postpone the proposed public rally scheduled on June 15 at DDSC, Dimapur. This was stated in a joint statement issued by ZCD president, Ngauloibe, and SUD president Er, YH Sangtam.
NEI VBS to hold summer bible camp
NEI VBS Christian Education Department has announced to conduct a summer bible camp for students at Longleng Town Christian School from June 16 to 19 and at Kangching Baptist Church from June 29 to 24 on the theme “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom” (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10). Informing this in a press release, NEI VBS director H Hammei Büchemhü has requested all the parents/guardians to send their children to the programme. It further informed that there would be prizes for best discipline, merit students, best teacher etc.
NBFP observes foundation day
Nepali Baptist Fellowship Peducha (NBFP) has observed its 19th foundation day on June 10. Former pastor spoke on ‘love,’ while Rana Chetri spoke on ‘unity of the church’ and also delivered brief testimony of the church. The word of God basing on strong foundation of the church was shared by AGBCN executive secretary, Santabir Rai, from the book of 1st Corinthians 36:10. The programme was chair by pastor Rajesh Giri.
HYS to organise drawing contest
Hindu Yuva Sanga (HYS) has announced to organise the 5th open drawing competition on June 17 at Ramjanaki Higher Secondary School. The organisation informed that the drawing competition would conducted in five categories namely category 1 for Classes A and B, category 2 for Classes I to III, category 3 for Classes IV to VI, category 4 for Classes VII to IX, and category 5 for Classes X and above. Leadership training in Atoizu town
Kipi Qomi Welfare Society (KQWS), a non-profitable NGO based in Dimapur and with its branch office in Zunheboto, has announced to organise a leadership development training programme for minority women (non-residential) in Atoizu town on June 16 at 9 am at jubilee hall. The training programme will be graced by Dr. Obed Zhimomi, medical officer, PHC Atoizu, as the resource person. The programme is sponsored by the ministry of minority affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
