TKK to hold literary contest
Coinciding with the Ura Academy seminar scheduled from May 23 to 25, the Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK) has announced to conduct competitions on ‘Tenyidie literature and arts performances’ on May 25 at Ura Academy hall, Kohima, at 10 am with Kevimetuo Liezietsu, assistant professor of Nagaland University, as the speaker. TKK president Kikruneinuo Liezietsu stated that competitions on debate, essay, drama and poetry would be conducted for students from various schools and colleges across the district. He has requested all the students to attend the same without fail.
Kohima police informs public
Kohima police has informed all commuters that the stretch of road from NHAK junction to census/ Pezielietsei (Tinpatti) junction has been opened both ways for light vehicles. Informing this in a press release, additional superintendent of police and PRO stated that heavy vehicles would be prohibited to travel on the mentioned road till further notice.
CMHSS Phek appreciates
The school managing board of Christian Mission Higher Secondary School (CMHSS), Phek, has appreciated to all the house owners, landowners, communities and tribal churches located along the stretch of CMHSS approach road for their cooperation in allowing the widening of road construction recently carried out by the roads and bridges department. The school managing board has also expressed gratitude to all rank and file of the department for taking up the construction of approach road. It has further appreciated the support rendered by the public leaders particularly to those who have physically monitored the works.
Massive road repairing work underway
Massive road repairing work is underway under three municipal councils, 29 town councils and ward panchayats under the initiative of PWD minister Tongpang Ozukum. In this regards, Dr. Toshimanen Ozukum has impressed upon all the concerned authorities and public to extent all possible assistance in terms of manpower and other logistic support to ebsure success of the mission.
