ANSTA convenes executive meeting
The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has convened a meeting of its executive body on May 24 at CANSSEA office, Sepfüzou, Kohima, at 11 am. The association president, Ponchulo Wanth, and the general secretary, Visato Koso, have directed invited all the ANSTA units/sub units to attend the proposed meeting without fail. The association press release further stated that important issues of the association would be discussed in the meeting.
AAY beneficiaries informed
All ration card holders/beneficiaries under Antyodya Anna Yojana (AAY) of Dimapur district are requested to submit the old ration card along with the Aadhaar details of the card holder as well as of the family members and obtain an acknowledgement slip duly signed by the competent authority. A press release issued by assistant director of food and civil supplies, N Jamonger Ao stated that the allotted food grains would be issued to the beneficiaries only after producing the acknowledgment slip to the concerned urban FPS/ village council. He has requested the ration card holders to immediately obtain the acknowledgment slip from the office of the assistant director, food and civil supplies, Dimapur.
Lakhuti students inform candidates
Lakhuti students’ union has informed all successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC in the recently declared NBSE result to submit xerox copies of their mark sheets to its office on or before June 20. MCKAA fetes successful candidates
Modern College Kohima Alumni Association (MCKAA) has congratulated all the successful candidates of HSLC and Class XII students of Arts and Commerce for securing 100% pass percentage. It has also congratulated Class XII science students for securing 97% pass percentage. MCKAA has particularly congratulates the three subject toppers in Biology and Business Studies. The association has further wished success to all the candidates in their future endeavour.
NVA to hold annual conference
Nagaland Veterinarians’ Association (NVA) has announced to organise its general conference cum orientation on May 24 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima, from 10 am onwards. NVA president Dr. Ilang and the information secretary, Dr. Khrisamhazo Rhetso stated that the programme would be graced by Dr. Aomangyang Walling, president NSVC & HOD, as the guest speaker. The association has requested all the members including retired officers, unemployed doctors and veterinary doctors serving in other departments to the programme.
ANHTU resolves
All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has decided to contribute INR 1500 from each member towards its ensuing silver jubilee scheduled on September 14 in Kohima. The decision to this effect was take during its general meeting held on April 27 at Ura Academy hall, Kohima. The union general secretary AS Yarthotngam and the convenor of planning committee, Ruchunlo Tep stated that the amount would be deducted from the salary of May 2018. ANHTU has informed all the jubilee committees of each respective unit to look into the matter and start taking up the necessary steps and actions.
Department of Commerce, Nagaland University (NU), Kohima Campus, in collaboration with the National Institute for Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima, has announced to organise a two-day national workshop cum seminar on “Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India” on May 22 and 23 at NIELIT, Kohima. A press release issued by Dr. Ratan Kaurinta, convenor of organising committee, stated that the seminar cum workshop is of national importance and requires publicity in order to create awareness about GST among the common masses.
Angami Public Organisation (APO) has convened a meeting of its governing body on May 24 at 10 am at APO hall, Kohima. The organisation president Neisakholie Ziephrü has requested all the APO office bearers, and newly constituted advisory board members from various units including NAPO, SAPO, WAPO and CPO to attend the meeting without fail.
NPF Dimapur division has informed to hold a rally in favour of its party candidate, C Apok Jamir, for the ensuing Lok Sabha by-election on May 24 at DDSC Stadium in Dimapur. A press release from the NPF party on Monday informed that the rally would begin at 10 am. The release stated that the party leaders comprising its president Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, leader of the NPF party TR Zeliang, Rajya Sabha MP and secretary general of NPF KG Kenye, and C Apok Jamir would address the rally.
