NLA committee meeting on May 30
Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Zale Neikha, has convened the first meeting of the newly constituted committee for the year 2018-2019 on May 30 at 11 am in the Assembly committee room. The meeting has been called to take stock of unfinished business of the committee and also to chalk out the work programme for the year. All committee members have been requested to attend the proposed meeting.
NPF to kick-start by-poll campiagn
The Naga Peoples Front (NPF) Lok Sabha by-election campaign will be kicked-off on May 16 at Ura Academy hall in Kohima village at 11 am. All party workers are requested to attend the same.
Acaut convenes meeting
The Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (Acaut) has convened a meeting on May 15 at 4 pm at its designated place. A press release from the Acaut’s secretary on Monday informed that the meeting will discuss matters relating to important issues. All its consultative members and advisors are requested to attend in the meeting for official endorsement of the consultative meeting minutes to the incumbent core members.
NLA library committee meeting postponed
The first meeting of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Library committee which was scheduled to be held on May 17 has been postponed till further notice. Chairman of the Library Committee has expressed regret for the inconvenience.
IGNOU to conduct joint meeting
Indira Gandhi National Open University Induction (IGNOU) will be holding a joint meeting for SC-2001 and 2014, Modern College of Kohima, Central Library, Nagaland University of Kohima has been scheduled on May 19 at 2 pm at Modern College in Kohima. Physical verification of pensioners
Office of the Senior Treasury Officer has informed all the pensioners, both life and family, drawing pension from Kohima South Treasury, that annual physical verification will be conducted from June 1 to 30th at the Sr. Treasury Office, Kohima (South) during office hours. All the pensioners are asked to appear physically along with PPO book and renewed NPA ID card. The office also informed that failing to appear for verification, the concerned individual payment will be stopped.
Payment for requisitioned vehicles
The district election officer of Dimapur has informed that payments for hiring charges for the conduct of assembly election 2018 for Dimapur district will be made from May 16-18 from 10 am to 3 pm at Deputy Commissioner’s Office, cashier’s room in Dimapur. All the concerned have been informed to report with the requisitioned order and other necessary documents. Also the assistant election officer of Mokokchung has informed all private vehicle owners that payment of hired charges in connection with the recently concluded general election to the legislative assembly will be disbursed from May 15-17 at Election office during office hour.
In view of the By-Election to the 1-Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency, the commissioner and returning officer, Motsuthung Patton, has informed that general observers are in station.
