NLA estimates committee convenes meeting
The commissioner-secretary of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has informed that the first meeting of the committee on estimates (2018-2019) has been scheduled on May 22 at 11 am in the committee room of Assembly Secretariat in Kohima. The meeting has been convened to take stock of works and to chalk out the work programme for 2018-2019. All the members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
SCERT to host 1st teachers educators’ conference
The department of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will be hosting the 1st all nagaland teacher educators conference on May 10 at 10 am in the SIEMAT conference hall, SCERT. Advisor for IPR, SCERT and Village Guards, Toshi Wungtong will be the guest speaker.
Govt. drivers to attend zonal conference in Imphal
The All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association (ANGDA) will be attending the All India Government Drivers’ Federation (AIGDF) of Northeast zonal conference on May 12 at State Academy of Training Hall, Takyelpat in Imphal, Manipur. The conference will be held under the theme “Essential knowledge and responsibility of the drivers for the purpose of development of the state.”
TNAI of Wokha to observe International Nurse Day
The Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) of Wokha unit will be observing an International Nurses Day onMay 12 at 10 am at Dr. MM District Hospital conference hall in Wokha. The association will be also having a general conference on the same say. All the nurses under Wokha district have been requested to attend along with membership fee and other contributions. It is also informed that action will be taken against the absentees.
Career guidance for Zapami students
The Zapami Village Council and Zapami Students’ Union will be organising a career guidance, counselling and interaction programme of EAC 2016 batch probationers with the Zapami village Development Board team on May 12 in Heritage Hall at Zapami village under Phek district. All the students from class 7 and above have been requested to attend the programme.
WCH to hold general assembly
The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) will be holding its general assembly on May 12 at 10 am at Chakhesang Hoho building near Chakhesang Baptist Church in Dimapur. All unit representatives are requested to attend the same.

The United North Block-Naga Colony Council of Burma Camp has convened an emergency general meeting on May 12 at 10 am at Orchid Ground, Naga-Colony in Burma Camp. All the residents have been requested to attend.
Industrial village Razhüphe call meeting
The Village Council Industrial Village Razhüphe has called a meeting on May 12 at 11 am at the head GB (TL Angami) residence in Dimapur. The meeting has been called for the upcoming golden jubilee celebration of the village council. VCMs, VDBs, mothers’ unit, advisors, and vigilance committee members are requested to attend.
The Tenyimi Women Union Dimapur (TWUD) will be celebrating Tenyimi women’s day on May 26 in Jotsoma Community Hall at Kuda Village ‘A’ Khel in Dimapur. The Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) will be holding a coordination meeting with all the villages, town and area youth organizations under the Chakhesang inhabited areas of Phek district, on May 11 at 9 am in Vamuzo Memorial Hall at Chozuba town; May 11 at 1 pm at Tourist Lodge in Pfutsero town; and May 12 at 10 am at Phek Town Council Hall in Phek. President and secretary or two representatives from each area are requested to compulsorily attend the meeting.
The general secretary for Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Dumapur region has informed that the meeting which was scheduled to be held on May 9 at 6 pm has been cancelled. The meeting has been cancelled due to prior engagements of the tour team.
