No helicopter service from April 20 to 23rd
The additional general manager of the Nagaland State Transport department has informed that the state’s helicopter service will not be available for regular schedule and chartering from April 20 to the 23rd. The service has been put on halt in view of the ongoing Indian Air Force engaged in a major air exercise in the northern and eastern sectors of India. It was for this reason that the Helicopter Global Vectra Helicorp Limited would not be provided with air defence clearance to fly in the state, the updates informed.
Chen to conduct general session
The Chen Union of Dimapur will be conducting its 22nd general session on April 21 at former MP Wangyuh Konyak’s residence at half-Nagarjan in Dimapur. Members in concern are informed to register with the union and to renew their membership. Further, members are requested to attend the meeting.
Churches Colony Council informs
With a directive from the authority to conduct mass cleanliness drive on April 21, the Churches Colony Council has informed residents and business establishments in Churches colony to report for the event at 6:00 am outside the residence of the colony’s Gaon Bura. Members are asked to bring tools such as spades, brooms, machetes, among others.
Wokha: Teachers asked to collect award forms
The district education office (DEO) of Wokha has informed government and private teachers to collect teachers’ state and district award forms from the DEO’s office at Wokha. They are to do so from April 20 during office hours.
Marcofed board directors to meet
The board of directors of the Marcofed Ltd. will be meeting on May 4 at 11 am in the chairman’s office chamber in Dimapur. All the members have been requested to attend the meeting.
NNC / FGN convenes meeting
The Naga National Council (NNC) has informed that a joint meeting of the NNC and the FGN has been convened to be conducted on April 30 at 10 am at the Transit Peace Camp in Kohima. All the ‘central authorities,’ ‘regional authorities’ and ‘eligible high ranking Naga army officers’ of the NNC / FGN are requested to attend the meeting.
Free medical health camp at Mon
The medical superintendent of the District Hospital of Mon has informed that a free medical health camp will be conducted from April 23 to the 25th at the district hospital. A team of doctors from Mumbai consisting of surgeons and physicians will be attending the camp, it was informed.
