Hindi teachers to host sports event
The Kohima unit of the All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU) has informed that its annual sports event will be conducted on April 21 at the TM School’s ground in Kohima at 9:00 am. Hindi teachers in Kohima district are requested to attended the event. ‘Absentees will be dealt according to the resolution passed in general meeting,’ an update from the group informed.
Medical camp scheduled for Mon and Longleng
The DIPR has informed that a medical camp in the district hospitals of Mon and Longleng will be organised on April 22 to the 26th by a team of doctors under the banner of the Indian National Fellowship Centre of Mumbai. The camp will be organised through the initiative of Nagaland Governor PB Acharya. The specializations of the visiting doctors include medicine, general surgery, gastroenterology, anesthesia, radiology, and maxillofacial. The public are encouraged to avail their services during the camp.
Mass community work in Dimapur on April 21
Dimapur’s deputy commissioner has informed citizens of the city that that there will be a mass cleanliness work on April 21 from 7:00 am onward. The district’s ward Gaon Bura (GB) are informed to consult with their respective chairman and oversee the community work in their respective colony. It was also informed that the district administration will be inspecting the urban areas.
Tseminyu to issue registration for non-Nagas
The Rengma Students Union has informed that it will be issuing and renewing non-local registration cards (NLRC) for the year 2018 from April 23 to the 30th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at its office in Tseminyu, in Kohima district. The event is stated to be part of a programme to ‘formulate census’ and to prevent influx of illegal immigrants into Tseminyu’s areas. The union has requested all the non-local persons residing within Tseminyu sub-division to collect the NLRC in person with valid inner line permit and three passport-size photographs.
