Observer holds meeting in Peren
Election observer for 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2018, Soikhanthang, joint commissioner of Goods Services and Taxes, Bangalore, Government of India, held a meeting for election expenditure monitoring cell and video surveillance teams for 6th Tening and 7th Peren assembly constituencies at Old DC’s headquarters, Peren, on February 1. Soikhanthang directed to coordinate with various teams and perform their assigned duties with utmost sincerity in the forthcoming general election as per code of conduct. The meeting was chaired by the deputy commissioner and district election officer, Peren, Smita Sarangi.
Wokha’s DC notifies
In view of the forthcoming 13th State Legislative Assembly Election 2018, the medical board for examining polling personnel for exemption from election duty has been constituted with ADC as chairman along with Nokchasashi, Dr. Robin, Dr. Sanan, Dr. Nouneo and Dr. Nirethono as members. Informing this in a notification, deputy commissioner, Wokha, stated that the first medical board examination would be held on February 5 at 1 a.m. in the office chamber of ADC, Wokha. The order would be in force till the completion of election process.
SP (I) not to set up candidates
Heeding to the call of the people for Naga political solution before election, Socialist Party (India) has decided not to set up its party candidate in the ensuing state assembly election. SP (I) national vice president Akhei Achumi has stated this in a press release.
Tuensang’s DPDB convenes meet
The monthly meeting of the Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has been scheduled on February 6 at 11 a.m. int he conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang. The district planning officer and member secretary, Nribemo Lotha has requested all the concerned members to attend the meeting positively.
Peren’s DC directs arms lincense holders
In view of the ensuing 13th Nagaland Legislative assembly election, Deputy commissioner, Peren, Smita Sarangi has directed all arms license holders to immediately deposit their weapons in the nearest police station for its safe custordy till the election process are completed.
