CM to inaugurate hydro project
Chief Minister TR Zeliang will be inaugurating the 2x75KW Nnoiroi stage-II hydro electric project on Dec. 21 at 10 am at Punglwa village in Peren district.
NHDPF informs pensioners
The Nagaland Health Doctors Pensioners Forum has issued updates for all pensioners / family pensioners (‘health doctors’) of the Health and Family Welfare department who have not yet received their non-practicing allowance (a) post-ROP Rules 1999 (b) post-RO P Rules 2010 and arrear pay-(a) post-ROP Rules 1999 and (b) post-ROP Rules 2010. They have been asked to ‘represent to the principal accountant general (A&E) or seek assistance from the forum’s President Dr. S lmkong Tushi Ao and General Secretary Dr. Kepelhusie Terhuja in this regard.
JSU to conduct 51st conference
The Jakhama Students’ Union will be conducting its 51st general conference and a ‘cultural day’ on Dec. 29 at 10 am at the Campion School ground at Jakhama village. ‘PD’ of DRDA Kevipodi Sophie will attend the conference as its guest of honour, it was informed. The union has invited all the citizens of Jakhama to attend the conference.
Wokha: EVM checking postponed
The District Election Officer of Wokha Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon has informed that the first-level checking of EVMs / VVPATs for Wokha district has been postponed to Dec. 22 and the 23rd. The venue and time remain the same.
ANCSU, NCSU offices to remain closed
The All Nagaland College Students’ Union has informed that its office will remain closed from Dec. 21 to Jan 8th 2018 for Christmas and New Year holidays. The ANCSU has wished students a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. A separate note from the Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union has also informed that its head office in Kohima will remain closed from Dec. 21 and till Jan. 15 2018. The union has conveyed Christmas greetings and a blessed New Year to all its members.
Longleng CYA raffle draw rescheduled

NBGM gets new team leader
The Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) has informed that one T Imtiwapang Aier has assumed charge as the team leader of the mission on Dec. 11. The Rengma Students’ Union (RSU) in its 39th general conference held at Tesophenyu village from Dec. 18 to 20th elected new team for the tenure 2017-2019 to be headed by Kisheto Kent as president, Tenyebinlo Himb as vice president, Andrew Kent as general secretary, John Thono as assistant general secretary, Kedalo Semy as secretary finance, Ziya Kath as secretary education & statistics, Bwenye Kemp as secretary social & culture secretary, and Alfred Kath as secretary publicity & information.
