NIIT to celebrate computer literacy day
NIIT Dimapur Centre has invited all its students and alumni to celebrate the world computer literacy day in its auditorium on December 2 at 1 pm. The programme would be organised on the motto “Each one reach one” to make everybody a computer literate. Besides, the pre-Christmas related gift exchange and fun activities, grooming session would be held for the interested NIITians on the occasion. The head of centre Ajay Sethi has informed all the NIITians of the last two years who have appeared their exams before November 15 to collect their certificates within next week. Sethi also notified that special fast track batches would be launched for interested students during the winter break. Interested candidates are asked to visit the centre from December 11.
BJP Zunheboto mourns death
Zunheboto unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has condoled the demise of Kiyelho Kinimi, eldest brother of IK Sema and Kheto Kinimi. The unit president Shikuto Sema has described Kiyelho Kinimi as a prominent public leader at Akuluto constituency, educationist and PRO of Nagaland University, Lumami at one point of time. He stated that his demise was a loss for the Sumi community in general and the people of Akuluto in particular. The unit has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
Chumoükedima B Khellers informed
With the ongoing major repairing of the village approach road, founder of B Khel New Chumoükedima, TL Angami, has requested all landowners to render cooperation as per the village resolution of 2003. TL Angami has sought the cooperation of all the landowners as a major repairing of the village approach road is underway with the deployment of a bulldozer.
INTCWS celebrates Pre-Christmas
Libra women and youth Wing, Kohima, under the aegis of India Northeast Tribal Community Welfare Society (INTCWS) celebrated its 9th Pre- Christmas programme on November 30 at its branch office, D-Block, Kohima. The programme began with a prayer said by assistant general secretary. Exhorting the gather, the organisation chairman Atsei Sekhose said the programme was organised to enliven and re-connect the youth in charitable social services and uplift the tribal people in any possible way and work in true team spirit. Group discussion and interactions were other highlights of the celebration.
PKD to celebrate Pre-Christmas
Phuyetomi Kuposhukulu Dimapur (PKD) has announced to celebrate advent Christmas on December 2 at the residence of Haotoi Awomi, Aqha Sa Chekiye village near Agri Expo Site, 4th Mile at 2 pm. The organisation chairman Tohozhe Awomi and the general secretary Khekugha Yeptho have requested all the concerned members to attend the celebration.
ANDMSA Dimapur convenes meet
Dimapur unit of All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) has convened an emergency departmental cashier/ accountant meeting on December 2 at Tourist Lodge at 11 am. The unit general secretary M Zachamo Ezung and the information secretary Akaito Jimo have requested all the department cashier/ accountant to attend without fail. The unit further informed all concerned department not to submit the salary pay bill or other related bill to the District Treasuries Office.
Officers of Rural Development Department have announced to hold a conference on December 5 at 10:30 am at the conference hall of RD Directorate, Kohima. In this connection, all PDs, POs, DPOs, APOs, EE, AE, AOs, BDOs, RDOs, Joint Directors, Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors are directed to attend without fail. All PDs are requested to ensure all the officers in the respective districts to attend the conference.
All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has convened its 1st union assembly for the tenure (2017-19) on December 5 at 11:30 am at NSF conference hall, Naga Club Building, Kohima. The union speaker Pithungo Shitio has requested all the affiliated units and senior leaders of ANCSU to attend the assembly positively.
ATMA Ghathashi Block under Zunhebuto district has conducted a Block Farmers Advisory Committee (BFAC) meeting at SDAO office in Pughoboto on November 28. The meeting, chaired by Tiarenla Jamir, ATM, discussed on positive and negative effects of jhum practices and scientific inputs. Resource person Yatet spoke on identification of active SHGs. The vote of thanks was delivered by Vishepu, ATM. Altogether 16 farmers attended the meeting.
