While stating that quality education remains essential for the progress and development of society, he called upon parents, teachers, students, and the community to support meaningful learning outcomes and strive toward excellence, noting that the school holds vast potential to nurture students capable of competing confidently with their peers elsewhere.
Highlighting the role of students as future nation-builders, he urged educators and parents to instil the right values to help them become responsible and productive citizens. He further cautioned against substance abuse, stating that such practices hinder growth and well-being.
Nchang said that contributing positively to society is also a service to God and encouraged church and community leaders to work with sincerity and integrity. Stressing the importance of unity for progress, he reiterated that development is a shared responsibility involving GBs, village councils, women leaders, church leaders, and the wider community.
Earlier in the programme, Rev. David Vaiphei, executive secretary, KBAN, presented a brief history of Yettrang School and highlighted the vision and efforts behind its establishment.
