Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): Member of the Rajya Sabha KG Kenye has inaugurated newly established Losatephe village in Phek district on April 24.
In his inaugural speech, Kenye lauded the villagers for their entrepreneurial activities which he said had ‘added good reputation to the village.’ He called upon the villages to work together and strengthen the rural economy. He also stressed on the need to maintain peace for all-round development of the rural areas.
Also speaking during the occasion was legislator Kezhienyi Khalo who spoke about the importance of promoting culture and tradition. In this regard, he has advocated cooperation and support from the people.
Yitachu, legislator from Meluri, who was the host of the programme, expressed gratitude to the villagers for electing him to represent them. Despite not being in the ruling party or government, he assured to give his best for the uplift of the people. Stating that the village was located at a strategic location that would contribute to it becoming ‘a good business centre,’ he urged the people to maintain a ‘good image.’
