New timing for shopping in Dimapur

Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): The Dimapur district administration has ordered all retail shops selling essential commodities in the district to keep their shops open from 9 am to 2 pm.

In a notification issued on Monday, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Dimapur stated that the new measure has been introduced with a view to contain and prevent the spread of novel coronavirus as well as to have a more effective monitoring system.

The DC also directed all wholesalers in the district to remain open from 5 am to 8 am.

“Any person violating this order will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides legal  action under section 188 of the IUPC,” it warned.

 Both the orders will come into effect from April 1 and will remain in force until further orders.
