Dimapur, April 6: A beauty clinic in Dimapur called ‘Clinical Spa’ has launched varieties of Zein Obagi (ZO) Skin Health Inc. Cosmoceutical products, at the clinic on Saturday.
Located at KE Complex at the Nagarjan police point in Dimapur, Clinical Spa is a sub-establishment of Family Health Clinic, which deals in medical aesthetics.
The business head of ZO Cosmoceuticals and Aesthetics, Mukesh Mehta from Mumbai, launched the products. ZO products are developed on the foundation established by an American Dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi, which endeavours to incorporate latest advancements in skincare technology to treat skin damage, he said.
Obagi is also credited with the establishment of skin health. He founded ZO Skin Health Inc. in 2007 to provide physicians and clients with innovative and effective skin health solutions.
Mehta affirmed that the products can be prescribed only by a ‘doctor.’ The products cannot be purchased online ‘so the doctor has to first identify the skin, and the doctor can deliver the correct prescription accordingly.’
The doctor undergoes two-three months of training for that purpose,’ he added.
Mehta explained that numerous trails about the product were performed on Indian and Asian skin before it was introduced in the country’s market. This was for the reason that skin varies from country to country. The product does not deal only with remedying skin problems but prevent them from reoccurring, he said.
It was informed that the treatments ranged from cleansing and exfoliation to sunscreen and pigmentation control, for which treatments begin with a getting skin ready (GSR) kit.
The GSR kit is used before any product is applied. It gets the skin ‘ready’ as it opens pores allowing it to have a better result, it was informed.
Currently, there are 136 varieties of ZO Skin Health Inc. Cosmoceutical products. Clinical Spa is stated to be the ‘first centre of the product’ in the Northeast region.
