New Peren village declared as LED village

[caption id="attachment_112978" align="alignleft" width="550"] DC Peren along with the villagers of New Peren village.[/caption] Dimapur, May 3 (EMN): New Peren village, under Peren district has been declared the first complete LED village in Peren district. The Energy Efficient Peren under UJALA scheme and initiative of District Administration Peren in collaboration with EESL. Deputy Commissioner of Peren adopted New Peren village and distributed free LED bulbs to every household in the village. Speaking on the programme, DC, Peren stated that the use of LED bulbs will consume less electricity which would drastically reduce electricity bill and save power consumption in the district. He also expressed hope that the beneficiaries would extend fullest cooperation for effective implementation of the scheme. DC also adopted Christian Servanthood Ministry Centre (Orphanage) and distributed free LED bulbs.
