Wokha, Mar. 2 (EMN): Envisaged to be a place for music lovers, a new school called ‘Bravo School of Music’ (BSM) in Wokha was inaugurated on Mar. 2 at Wotho Ki in Wokha village.
Mhalo Lotha, deputy commandant of the 7th NAP at Bhandari was the chief guest of the event.
Speaking at the programme, Lotha hoped that the school would be a torch bearer for youth of the district toward advancing ‘ministry through music’ and to produce talented musicians at par with the best musicians in the world.
The chief guest expressed hope that the institution would go a long way and inspire upcoming musicians professionally.
Jenibemo Kithan, LBES youth secretary, spoke from the Word of God during the occasion; Rev. R Lotha, pastor of Tsungiki Baptist Church (TBC) said the invocation.
R David Ngullie, managing director of the school, delivered the welcome address; R Wonjano Ngullie, faculty member, sang a song; T Mhao Kikon, associate pastor of TBC pronounced the benediction. Ovungbemo Ngullie presided over the inaugural function.
BSM is located at Wothok Ki near the police point in Wokha town. Its faculty members include R David as managing director, R Wonjano Ngullie as vocal and theory ‘mentor’; Albert Shitiri as the violin ‘mentor,’ Thungjam Ngullie as piano ‘mentor,’ Yanithung Enni as drums and guitars ‘mentor,’ and R Thungjamo Ngullie as visiting vocal teacher.
The courses offered at the BSM include voice, piano, guitars, drums, violin, and fundamentals of music theory. It will offer its students the opportunity to sit for examinations under the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music of London, Trinity College of Music, London, and the Rock School of London. The school is set to start classes by the third week of March.
