The NPWD Office in Kohima inaugurated a multi-level parking facility to ease vehicle congestion.

DIMAPUR — The multi-level parking facility at the NPWD Office, Kohima, was inaugurated on Friday by R Rithrong, personal secretary to Minister for PWD (Housing) P Bashangmongba Chang, on behalf of the minister.
Speaking on behalf of the minister, Rithrong stated that the completion of the parking complex marks an important step in addressing the long-standing issue of limited parking space in the office premises, according to a DIPR report.
He added that with the increasing number of vehicles, the facility will provide a more organised and convenient parking arrangement for staff and visitors.
Chang conveyed his appreciation to the construction firm, engineers, and technical team for their dedication and timely completion of the project.

He also acknowledged the vision of the Government of Nagaland under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in strengthening infrastructure and improving public service delivery in the state.
The minister further congratulated the NPWD, particularly the Housing department, for successfully completing the project and expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to improve workplace facilities and administrative efficiency.
A technical report on the project was presented by Executive Engineer, PWD (Housing), Central Division, Kohima, Nungsang Jamir. Jamir highlighted the construction details and significance of the parking structure, and informed that the total estimated cost of the building is INR 440.68 lakh.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Chief Engineer, PWD (Housing), K Nikato Assumi. Earlier, Rithrong also unveiled the plaque marking the official inauguration of the multi-level parking facility.
