Diphu, August 27 (EMN): The Karbi Anglong Women Justice Forum (KAWJF) was formed on August 26 at the Diphu Amalapathy Dimasa Club. Following the formation of KAWJF, the women organisation held a press conference at District Press Club of Karbi Anglong (DPCKA) Diphu to announce their newly form organisation on Sunday.
KAWJF president Beautlet Beypi during the press conference informed that in order to defend against the women predicament in the district, they have unanimously formed the women organisation. “Though there are many organisations in the region, their close relationship with the political parties restricts them from going against any political parties and we are here today for the upliftment of women empowerment” maintained Beypi at the press conference.
Besides raising this issue, Beypi said that their organisation is free from the bondage of political parties and will raise their voice in the near future for women section, irrespective of tribe and religion.
“We have formed the organisation to strengthen the needs of the women in the society space especially with womenfolk facing discrimination” said the women leader. The organisation further appealed women and youths to extend their support with the newly formed women organisation.
The KAWJF members are president Beulet Beypi, vice president Bonty Englengpi, general secretaries Jelyn Rongpipi and Merina Be up, secretary Anjela Bongrungpi and treasurer Niropuma Terangpi.
