New Jalukie Village inter block tourney held

Dimapur, Feb. 19: The 11th inter block tournament of New Jalukie was held from February 9 to 13, 2017 at the village local ground with Johny Ruangmei, OSD Nagaland state Disaster Management Agency and Bangdi Chawang, General Secretary, BJP Nagaland as chief guest on the opening and closing ceremony respectively. Colonel NMS Thakur, Commandant 36th Assam Rifles Jalukie and 2nd in Commandant Rajiv Kalita also graced the closing ceremony as guest of honour and special guest. Altogether 32 teams from both male and female participated in football and volleyball event. RESULTS Football: Winner – D block Runners up – B block Best player – Railubo of D block Volleyball (Male) Winner – A block (A team) Runners up – A block (B team) Volleyball (Female) Winner – B block Runners up - Nkwareu As per the press statement New Jalukie Village has produced 12 National players and three International sub-junior football players, two AIFF ‘D’ license coaches and one NIS athletics coach.
