New Jalukie inter-block football tournament underway

DIMAPUR — The 13th edition of the New Jalukie inter-block football tournament commenced on Tuesday at New Jalukie local ground on the theme ‘Strive for excellence, embrace success.’

President of Jalukie Valley Youth Organisation and PRO to Dy.CM,  Masang Hiekha, in his inaugural address, cautioned the youth to stay away from drugs and substance abuse, stating that “Drugs are faceless and only rob away our tomorrow and hamper the life purposes of an individual,” an update stated.

Emphasising the significance of sports, he invited all the youths to participate in the ongoing construction of the turf ground at New Market, Jalukie, under the initiative of JVYO.

The programme was chaired by Haireungambe Hingleu.
