
KOHIMA — With an objective to promote healthy living and fitness, a new gymnasium called ‘Fit Palace’ was on Friday launch at Bank of India (BoI) Building in Supply Colony, opposite to State Library in Kohima.
The proprietors of the gym namely Neizovolie Yhome and Dzevilanuo Yhome said they are advocating fitness realising the importance of physical fitness especially among the Nagas, who eat meat on daily basis with little greens in diet. They wanted to help the people in maintaining healthy weight and prevent risks of many diseases.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]They pointed out that the present lifestyles has made many people lazy and unhealthy and asserted on the need to visit gym. The added that when a person see other people work-out in the gym, one also gets conscious and get the inspiration to follow the same.
Further they said, "Workout in the gym makes you energised, burn calories, improve overall appearance and withstand stress and illness."
The new hym has a proper changing room and washroom, free Wifi, CCTV surveillance, ample space for aerobic and cardio training. The gym has in-house certified physical trainer with an experience of 10 years in fitness.
The gym is equipped with aerofit brand, treadmill, cross trainer, pec deck fly, lat pull down, leg press, cable crossover etc., while it is furnished with proper padded floor and a music system.
Fitness enthusiasts could visit the facility during morning session from 5:30 am to 7:30 am and the evening session from 4 pm to 8 pm.
The launch event was attended by fitness enthusiasts and well-wishers including popular Naga musician, Moko Koza.
