Forest Colony inaugurated an international-standard basketball court in Kohima, aiming to promote sportsmanship, youth engagement and community unity

DIMAPUR — A new basketball court built to international specifications was inaugurated at Forest colony in Kohima on Wednesday.
A press release from the organisers, Forest Colony Youth Organisation (FCYO), informed that the court was inaugurated by Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports S Keoshu Yimchunger in the presence of community leaders, public representatives and residents.
Yimchunger said that sports had long been an integral part of Naga society and expressed hope that the new facility would help revive that tradition.
The inauguration concluded with an exhibition basketball match between Team Bandits and the AEF Colony Youths, with Team Bandits registering a convincing victory.
The FCYO expressed hope that the new facility would serve future generations by promoting sportsmanship, community engagement and unity through basketball.
