Dimapur, October 3: The consultative meeting of all sports climbing enthusiasts was held at Hotel Japfü on October 3 at 12 pm. Twenty member of sports climbers including northeast level medallist and trained route setters, judges were among the participants, it was informed in a press release from the association on Monday.
The group decided to have further meeting involving other prominent members and sports climbing enthusiasts in the state who could not attend the meeting on Monday to form a mandated association under one umbrella for the state. There were also suggestions to have district level sports climbing committee.More Suggestions and more participation are invited as and when the meeting is scheduled and convened at an appropriate date. The initiative is in line with North East Sports Climbing Association (NESCA) and Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) it informed.
