Nerhema Youth and Sports Organisation launches Vision 75: The Futsal Chapter in Chiephobozou with 12 teams competing from September to December.

DIMAPUR — The Nerhema Youth and Sports Organisation (NYSO) launched "Vision 75: The Futsal Chapter" at the Futsal Turf in Chiephobozou on Saturday.
The opening ceremony was held at 4 pm, with Khrielie Üsou, President of BJP Kohima district, as the inaugural guest. The initiative is being held on the theme, “The platinum jubilee march begins with unity, honour & legacy”.
The futsal season will run from September to December 2026, with matches scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 pm to 9 pm. Altogether, 12 teams comprising around 140 to 150 players are participating in the futsal league.
In his presidential address, Kiyasetuo Kengurüse, President of NYSO, encouraged the players to give their best and stated that NYSO would continue working towards structured sports development, including the organisation of sports clinics and training programmes.
He also highlighted preparations for the Jubilee 2030 Games Meet, noting the importance of developing players and creating opportunities for them to participate in various sporting disciplines.
Addressing the gathering, inaugural guest Khrielie Üsou stressed the importance of sports in youth development and community building. He called for greater commitment to developing local sporting talent and urged organisers to focus on long-term player development rather than seasonal competitions.
Üsou encouraged the players to rely on hard work, discipline, and perseverance, rather than family background or financial circumstances, and urged the younger generation to make productive use of their time and resources.
“The NYSO Vision 75: The Futsal Chapter” is expected to serve as a platform for grassroots sports development and talent identification as the community moves towards its platinum jubilee and the planned Jubilee 2030 Games Meet.
