Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) will be conducting a disaster-response exercise, the annual ‘Nagaland emergency preparedness exercise’ or NEPEx, on November 26 in the districts.
The objective of the exercise is to test the capability of the government of Nagaland in responding and managing any 'mega impending' emergency, updates stated.
The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), gave updates on Monday informing about the event.
As part of the NEPEx, a one-day “table top exercise” is being organised for administrative heads and department heads, and district disaster management agency officials on the October 24 at the ATI in Kohima.
The administrative heads and heads of departments of the government departments in concern, and two officials each from the district disaster management authority are requested to make it convenient to participate in the programme.
