Neiphiu Rio condoles demise of Minister Paiwang Konyak’s mother

DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed grief over the passing of Among Konyak, mother of Minister P Paiwang Konyak, who passed away on Thursday.

In a condolence message, Rio described Among as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose life was guided by faith and compassion.

The chief minister stated losing both parents within a short span is “a sorrow beyond words,” adding that a mother’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled.

Rio lauded Paiwang and his siblings for their strength and devotion in caring for their parents during their final days, calling it a reflection of the values instilled by them.

Extending condolences on behalf of his family, Rio prayed that God grant the bereaved family strength and solace, and that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
