DIMAPUR — Pilgrim Higher Secondary School (PHSS), Dimapur, inaugurated its foundation programme for classes VIII-X, aimed at strengthening academic fundamentals and preparing students for competitive exams, at the school’s M Kikon Auditorium on Thursday.
The programme was attended by youth icon of Nagaland Rishv Sethi, software engineer, JEE-2016 Nagaland topper, and chief executive officer, NITI Nagaland, who delivered the keynote address, an update stated.
Sethi motivated students to pursue excellence with discipline, consistency, and a strong conceptual foundation, emphasising the importance of early preparation and right mentorship in shaping future success.
Ajay Sethi, Managing Director of NITI Nagaland, addressed the gathering by motivating the students to dream big and remain committed to their goals.

He also expressed gratitude to the founder students and parents for placing their trust in the institution and the School Integrated Programme (SIP).
IITian faculty members Jaydeep Pandit and Aniket Sahu exhorted the students to develop strong fundamentals in Science and Mathematics, adopt effective learning strategies, and cultivate curiosity and perseverance as key traits for academic and competitive success.
The acknowledgement speech was delivered by Bithungo Kikon, Administrator of Pilgrim Higher Secondary, Dimapur, who expressed appreciation to all the dignitaries, faculty members, organisers, students, parents, and staff for their collective efforts in making the inauguration a grand success.
Earlier, the event commenced with a welcome address by Sana Singh, Assistant Headmaster of the school, who highlighted the vision of the foundation programme in nurturing academic excellence from an early stage.
The programme was chaired by Akito Shohe.
“The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 students, along with more than 50 teachers and parents, reflecting strong community support and interest in the newly launched foundation programme,” the update stated.
