Dimapur, Nov. 2 (EMN): The North East Christian University (Necu) with support from the state council of science, technology and environment, Meghalaya will be conducting a 5-day workshop from Nov. 12-16 at Necu, Anchor complex, Burma camp east block, Dimapur which will aim at promoting low-cost sustainable technologies.
The workshop will focus on how to use firewood-based baking oven like agro-based portable food processing machinery for making jams, face wash, candles. The workshop will also focus on green technologies such as improved ‘chulha’ (smokeless traditional oven), low cost water filter, solar incubation for low cost hatchery, stabilised mud blocks and bamboo technology. Interested persons have been asked to contact the university for registering their name for participating in the workshop.
