- DIMAPUR — The NDWM Child Rights Movement, with
support from National Domestic Workers Movement Nagaland and Assisi Centre for Integrated Development, hosted
its annual Hope Day celebration at Assisi Hall, Dimapur, on Saturday, themed
"Inspire hope, create change”.

positive societal transformation, particularly among children and their
families, according to a press release.
- Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Moamenla Yaden,
chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Dimapur, drawing from her
personal connection to Assisi School and her experience as a mother,
highlighted the crucial role of the CWC in safeguarding children's welfare.
- Yaden shared anecdotes, including the story of a butterfly,
to illustrate the importance of resilience and learning from challenges. She
also referenced Steve Jobs' perspective on the value of human connection over
material wealth, urging children to prioritise discipline, obedience, and
emotional intelligence (EQ) alongside academic achievement (IQ).
- She stressed that true intelligence encompasses a wide range
of skills, including vocational and computer literacy, and that each child
possesses unique talents.Yaden encouraged parents to empower their children to
overcome obstacles and flourish independently.
- Earlier, Sr. Pramila Lobo, coordinator of the Domestic
Workers Movement, Nagaland Region, emphasised the immense potential of children
and the support provided by their parents and dedicated staff. She underscored
that hope is not merely a sentiment but a catalyst for action, urging attendees
