Dimapur, May 19 (EMN): Central youth organisation of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) handed over a sum of INR one lakh and twenty thousand to the deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, in the presence of the nodal officer for Covid, Y Kikheto Sema, and commissioner of police, Rothihu Tetseo, for purchase of beds for the newly designated makeshift Covid hospital at Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Dimapur.
An update from the party’s IT and media cell stated that the NDPP youth representatives included its vice president Meyisanger Lemtur, general secretary Lhouvi Punyu, secretary Vichosel Rhutso, youth president of Dimapur region Toshi Longkumer and vice president Lawrence. It added that the representatives had a brief meeting with the officials where several Covid related issues besides various challenges faced by the frontline workers and the Covid-19 patients.
The NDPP youth representatives have appreciated the DTF for their selfless and yeomen service and assured to extend all its support in combating the Covid-19 pandemic together.
Meanwhile, NDPP youth representatives have appealed to all the citizens to come forward and extend support to the frontline workers by strictly adhering to the SOPs laid by the state government. It wished a speedy recovery to all the ailing patients and also conveyed condolences to those bereaved families who have lost their loved ones to Covid-19.
Report added that the NDPP youth team also visited the ongoing makeshift hospital (IHM) and appreciated the officials led by Thejavizo Nakhro, SDO (C), for their tireless effort in accelerating the work progress of the hospital.
