DIMAPUR — The
Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) of Wokha region, in
collaboration with youth, women and Agri-allied organisations, CEB and CWO
members of Wokha district as well as the NDPP councilors of WTC celebrated Pre
Christmas on December 12 at Hammock Resort in Wokha village.
Advisor of Agriculture and legislator in-charge of Wokha
region, Mhathung Yanthan, and the advisor to CM Nagaland and senior vice
president of NDPP, Dr. Chumben Murry, were also present in the celebration.
The message on "Behold, the lamb of God, who takes away
the sin of all world" was delivered by Thungchano Kikon, WTC councilor.
She expressed the feeling of Christmas with joy and happiness during her
childhood days.
She urged the gathering to show love and affection to others
who are in need and celebrate the festive season with happiness and spirit of
forgiveness in Jesus’ name.
Dr. Chumben Murry has urged the leaders to be agent of
change.
Mhathung Yanthan, in his greetings, appreciated Chief
Minister, Neiphiu Rio, for successful celebration of Hornbill Festival 2024,
wherein Nagas are recognised by the world through their culture.
He told the gathering to let the coming Christmas be the
best and do their best. He also expressed that the present government programme
and policies are the best.
He also gave away Christmas cake to all the NDPP workers.
The programme was followed by Christmas gift exchange and
musical entertainment.
Meanwhile, NDPP Wokha region has expressed gratitude to
Mhathung Yanthan, for sponsoring all the programme expenses. It also thanked
Dr. Chumben Murry for volunteering his beautiful place for organising the
celebration program.
