Dimapur, Nov. 14 (EMN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) for 2 Dimapur-II assembly constituency has asked contractors to ‘resume the ongoing construction’ without delay “in view of the onset of working season.”
The unit issued a note on Thursday to the media.
‘In view of the onset of working season, all the contractors are requested to kindly resume the ongoing construction without delay. It is needless to state that delay will invite many unwanted situations both for the public as well as for the contractors,’ the note stated.
‘The contractors should not only focus on profits but they should always bear in mind that they are the builders of the nation/state. In their absence, there will be no development.’
Further, the NDPP requested the contractors to ‘maintain workmanship under any circumstances and to avoid substandard constructions.’
‘The special package exercised by the PDA government particularly for capital city Kohima and commercial capital Dimapur may not come in the near future. Therefore, the public as well as the contractors should take this as a golden opportunity,’ the note added.
